It has become fashionable for many hotels to claim to be eco sensitive. But,
they seem to have no idea of basic wastages. Take soap for example. Most
people stay in a hotel for a day or two. There are too or three soap cakes in
the toilets. Each cake may be used three or for times. Then an almost full
cake is wasted. The more fashionable the hotel the larger the cake and more
expensive herbal oil being used as the base! Why don’t the hotels use liquid
soaps dispersed through well designed containers?
They also have a small note that says some variant of “do you want the towels
and sheets washed every day?” this note is usually very small and easily
overlooked. Are they ashamed of being eco friendly?
Many of these hotels have fountains in the lobby, and I have not seen any that
was recycled water for the flushing tanks. Is eco friendly only a façade?
