I was driving through the Mumbai traffic when a snarl started building up at a traffic light. While the people in car were dismayed, the beggars on the road were over joyed. Soon a half a dozen of them were harassing the hapless passengers of the cars. The person in the car in front of us took pity on the beggar and offered a few coins. The beggar took a quick look at the coins and gave it right back saying, “yeh nahin chalega, jamaana badalgaya” (this will not do, times have changed) and asked for atleast a 10 rupees note!!
